With the largest democracy in the world, 1.3 billion citizens and amongst the top 10 percentile of the fastest growing economies, India is a symbol of growth.

Over the past 60 years, adult literacy has quadrupled and between 2005 and 2010, 53 million people were lifted out of poverty. However, in 2010, 69% still lived on less than US $2 a day, and 33% on less than US $1.25 a day.

It was with this purpose the MCKS Food for the Hungry Foundation of Karnataka was founded in 2010; to ensure that every sentient being (individual) regardless of caste, creed, religion or gender would be hunger free.

Over the past 10 years, we discovered that there were not only individuals with physical hunger, but also many more people with emotional and mental hunger; some even with spiritual hunger.

With our team of 100+ volunteers, MCKS Food for the Hungry Foundation of Karnataka works constantly to ensure that not only the needs but also the quality of life of individuals are addressed across all 30 districts of Karnataka.
